周六，特朗普启动了一项旨在结束政府停摆的新计划，他愿为非法移民提供暂时性保护， 避免他们被驱逐出境，以此来换取57亿美元的美国-墨西哥边境墙拨款。

当然，正如上文所说，这种“保护”只是暂时性的……

特朗普在讲话中表示，如果国会民主党人同意为美墨边境墙拨款57亿美元，他将为约70万名童年时期随父母非法入境的移民和约30万名申请避难的成年非法移民提供三年的暂时身份及保护。

不过，面对特朗普这项“大招”，这种看似妥协的举措，民主党人似乎并不买账。

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi did not even wait for the speech to reject the proposal.
